Everyone is talking about digital transformation and solutions are being sought everywhere. And one country is currently serving as an international role model for others in this respect: Estonia. At first glance, you don’t know it – not from a country with 1.3 million inhabitants that lives in such a beautiful landscape between so many historic buildings. The capital, Tallinn, feels like an invitation to return to quieter times. What many do not know: In this small country there are well-known high-tech start-ups and even four unicorns, including Skype. Alexander Pinker travelled with the startup network SUN to Tallinn at the end of May to learn more about the digital culture behind the cornflower fields and chirping swallows.
