The winners of the video competition Fast Forward Science have been announced. This year’s topics included tomatoes from outer space, heart cells growing on spinach and an artificial intelligence that counts calories over a variety of trends and visions of the future.
Since 2017 Innovation Profiler and Future Strategist Alexander Pinker has been a Juror in the category VISION. The web video competition, endowed with a total of 21,000 euros, gives young YouTubers and science communicators a platform.
This year there were more than 125 submissions in the three categories. The following three videos won in the VISION category, in which the vision of the future is at the forefront in line with the Medialist Innovation Group’s field of expertise.
1. place: What is artificial intelligence?
In his video, YouTuber Julian Witusch gives an insight into the diverse applications of artificial intelligence.
2nd place: Colony on the moon
A trend topic that currently occupies many companies, from Tesla to Virgion, is space travel. But is it really possible to populate the moon? Could the moon serve as an ideal base in the future for launching rockets and developing space? Ronny Bläß explains this vision in his film.
3. place: A heart from spinach – current medicine research
Medicine is a topic that is currently receiving more and more attention in the field of innovation. But how can human heart cells be grown on spinach leaves? Even if it sounds daring, medical student Marlene shows that it is possible.
